R. v. Safdar, 2022 SCC 21

The Supreme Court of Canada found that the Defendant cannot unreasonably rely on section 11(b) of the Canadian Charter (to be tried within a reasonable time) by including time after trial evidence was completed and the hearing for the Charter Application.  The Supreme Court of Canada upheld the Ontario Court of Appeal findings in this matter.
